How it works

Offered in flexible formats (1-year or 2-year options) across years 10, 11 and 12.  

  • 1-year format only available if delivered as Fast Track (i.e. over 2 study lines, or equivalent).

Students deliver sport/recreation programs within their school community. Programs include:

  • Officiating games
  • Conduct coaching activities
  • Sports performance program

School Requirements

HPE Teacher (Program Deliverer)

  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Find out more >
  • Sport coaching and officiating experience

School Programs

  • Access to programs, games or competitions where students will assist as coaches or officials.

Partial Completion Program

This course is also offered as a partial completion program.

What Students Achieve

  • Coaching accreditation
  • First Aid qualification and CPR certificate
  • Maximum 7 QCE Credits (Cert III) → QLD schools
