Dual Qualification: Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315) + Certificate II in Sport and Recreation (SIS20115)

$290 per student (Cert II entry qualification = $210 + Cert III Upgrade = $80)

How it works

Offered in flexible formats (2-year or 3-year options) across years 10, 11 and 12.

Students deliver fitness programs within their school community. Programs include:

  • Community fitness program
  • Strength and conditioning for athletes and teams
  • Group fitness sessions
  • Personal training adults (e.g. teachers and other staff)

Binnacle provides all the resources and support to allow teachers the scope to do what they do best – TEACH!

School Requirements

Teacher (Program Deliverer)

  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Find out more >
  • Certificate IV in Fitness Available here >or above (Bachelor degree in Human Movement or similar, but not straight Physical Education)

Fitness Facility (Gym)

  • Cardio and free weight equipment
  • Fitness assessment equipment
  • Access to real clients within the school community to undertake fitness training

What Students Achieve

  • Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315)
  • Entry qualification: Certificate II in Sport and Recreation (SIS20115)
  • First Aid qualification and CPR certificate 
  • Direct pathway into Certificate IV in Fitness with FIT College - Binnacle graduates receive a $500 discount! 
  • Maximum 8 QCE Credits (QLD schools only)
  • Students may be able to improve their chances of gaining tertiary entrance. See here >
