ViSC 2024 - Save the Date

Binnacle Training invites you to ‘Save the Date’ for our 2024 VET in Schools Conference (ViSC) which will be held on both the 22nd and 29th November, 2024. The conference will be streamed on each of the above dates, allowing attendees to choose the single date that best suits you and your school. Please mark your calendar for one of the following dates: 

• Friday, 22 November (end of Week 8); or
• Friday, 29 November (end of Week 9) 

In a change to our previous  ‘Hybrid - Live and Virtual’ ViSC events, our 2024 VET in Schools Conference will be delivered as a virtual event only via our state-of-art Elevate streaming platform. The decision to move away from the “Hybrid Live + Virtual” format was not made lightly - we strongly value being able to connect with our deliverers in person. To maintain this connection (and in the spirit of our 2024 ViSC theme ‘Back to the Future’), a ViSC Teacher Social Event will be hosted by the Binnacle Training team on the afternoon (and into the evening!) of each Virtual ViSC as follows: 

• Friday, 22 November (from 3pm) - Cairns CBD (Venue TBC); and 
• Friday 29th November (from 3pm) - Brisbane CBD (Venue TBC). 

Importantly, the virtual conference format with dual streaming (two dates to choose from) will enhance accessibility for all Binnacle deliverers.

We’re excited to embrace this year’s theme  ‘Back to the Future’ which focuses on getting back to basics to create great future experiences for our teachers. With this in mind, our ViSC presentations will provide you with up-to-date information from leading industry professionals and practitioners across the fields of - Sport and Recreation, Fitness, Business and Tourism. We are confident that you will leave our 2024 Virtual ViSC with a wealth of actionable information to bring back to your classroom and share with your students.

Your virtual attendance at our 2024 VET in Schools Conferences will fulfil your Semester 2 VET and Industry PD Requirements as well as one of your Industry Visit requirements for the year (provided you have not already used a Virtual Workplace Visit for Semester 1, 2024). At the completion of the event, we will complete these entries for you in Part 4 of your Binnacle Profile and  issue you with a Certificate of Participation for your attendance.

Over the next few months, we will share the registration links for 2024 Virtual ViSC and for our ViSC Social Events, along with the lineup of speakers and professional development opportunities we’ve assembled, so stay tuned.
